THE STORY OF OLGA

Being based in Bali, often called the 'Island of the Gods' makes us realise how pure and holy this place is. The culture around the island is truly wonderful. Consisting largely of Hinduism, every corner you turn you might see a temple or a place of worshipping for the various gods. Often, there may be ceremonies commemorating different events in time whether that is the full moon, Kuningan or a
wedding. 

Olga is a representation of the holiness of Bali. The characteristics and the vibrant colours this island gives us every single day which we should never take for granted. It is often seen as just a destination for vacation, but to us it is much more than that. 
It offers us a space of serenity and focus for our mind and body.

The Story Behind the Lotus Design

 

The lotus flower is one of if not the most significant flower in the world. In Eastern cultures they are a representation of purity, enlightenment and self-regeneration. 

 

Lotuses bloom in swampy waters and it reminds us that beautiful things can bloom in murky circumstances. It puts negative situations into a new perspective in a way that we can be hopeful that we will come out the other side. 

 

The past year has been a struggle for us all and most of us have been under murky waters. It was easy to lose the hope that we once had at the beginning of this pandemic. But just like the Lotus, we can bloom into new beginnings. 

 

We will bloom and that is the hope that we need to hold onto, for there is no growth without struggle.
