The first step is a treasure hunt through your home. 

Look for:Fabric Scraps

Stuffing: This is what gives your ornament its cuddly, three-dimensional shape. 

Thread: A strong all-purpose thread in a contrasting or matching color will highlight your handiwork.

Embellishments: This is where your personality shines. Raid your sewing box for buttons, beads, ribbons, or embroidery floss. 

Essential Tools: Sharp fabric scissors, pins, a hand-sewing needle, and paper for creating your pattern.

Step 1: Designing Your Pattern

Begin by sketching your chosen design—a classic diamond or a simple animal silhouette like a dog or teddy bear—onto a piece of paper or cardstock. Keep the shapes simple with bold outlines; intricate details can be added later with embroidery or buttons. Once you're happy with your template, carefully cut it out. This is your master pattern.

Step 2: Cutting the Fabric
