To cook the Sorghum Rice:


- The Sorghum to Water ration should be 1:3

- If cooked in a rice cooker. The process should be the same as cooking normal rice.

- If cooked on a stove. Pour Sorghum and water in a pot. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. cover and cook for 50-60 minutes until tender and chewy. Stir occasionally. After cooking, let it cool for 5 minutes. Drain excess liquid. Add a pinch of salt to taste.


Now moving on to the dishes.


 SORGHUM RICE WITH ROAST CHICKEN AND VEGETABLES



The ingredients:


- Sorghum Rice

- Lettuce

- Carrots

- Cucumber

- Tomato

- Olive Oil

- Salt

- Pre-Bought Roast chicken (as this will save you time) or you can make your own and follow this link for the recipe.

1. Firstly, cook your sorghum rice. Make sure that it is cooked as mentioned above.

2. Cut up all your vegetables into thin slices.

3. Cut your roast chicken into thin strips.

4. Plate them all together for them to look nicely.

5. Add oil and salt on top of it all. 


All this should take less than 10 minutes to make considering you have already made your rice.


SORGHUM RICE CHICKEN SALAD WITH SESAME DRESSING



The ingredients:


- Sorghum Rice

- Chicken Breast

- Cucumber 

- Lettuce

- Carrots

- Olive Oil

- Salt 

- Kweepie Sesame Dressing


1. Get your Sorghum rice nice and ready to be plated

2. Cut up your vegetables.

3. Shred your chicken breast into small pieces and cook them in the pan with olive oil until they turn into a nice brown colour.

4. For the dressing, add olive oil, salt and kweepie sesame dressing. By adding olive oil and salt it will allow the sesame dressing to not be too thick.

5. Plate all your vegetables and chicken together.

6. Add the dressing on top and mix well.
